Ever notice how your brain panics before a task because you don’t know how long it will take?
That uncertainty makes the task feel huge. But here’s the thing: there are usually realistic limits.

Writing an email probably won’t take 10 hours.

Could it take 5? Maybe, if you dragged it out.

Could it take 2? Sure. But if you focused, it’s more likely 20–30 minutes.
Instead of letting the unknown keep you stuck, flip the question:
How long could it possibly take?
Set a cap. Give yourself two hours (or whatever feels like the upper limit). Then sit down and try to do it as quickly as possible. Worst case? You’re done within that window. Best case? It takes a fraction of the time you feared, AND you now have new evidence that it won’t be nearly that bad next time.
